Join Chris Webb and Helen Armitage from the Careers and Employability Service at Sheffield Hallam University for another foray into the world of work, as told by Covid-19 - this week sees us mix things up as we welcome five of Sheffield Hallam University's final year students to the (virtual) booth and discuss how the pandemic has impacted on their lives, education and plans for the future.

Our Presenters:

Helen Armitage - A Senior Employability Adviser for the College of Social Sciences and Arts at Sheffield Hallam University. Helen leads on the Hallam Career Mentoring Scheme and primarily supports the department of Art and Design with in-curriculum careers delivery.

Chris Webb - An Employability Adviser at Sheffield Hallam University, Chris supports the Gradvantage programme for final year students and graduates, as well as collaborating with the College of Business, Technology and Engineering on in-curriculum careers delivery.

 

Our Guests:

Sarthak Mondal - Sarthak is a final year student of BSc (Hon) Sport Business Management in Sheffield Hallam University. He has worked across multiple roles on campus over the last 3 years and has a keen interest in making a career within academia.

George Alvey - George is a current final year student at Sheffield Hallam University studying BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science. He is also employed by the Student & Graduate Employability Service as a Careers Student Influencer and will soon be starting a graduate role as Health Wellbeing & Life Sciences College Officer with the University.  

Eleanor Lovelock - Eleanor is a final year BA (Hons) English student at Sheffield Hallam University. When she graduates, she'd like to work collaboratively and internationally to help make a positive difference in the world.

Fiona McNaught - Fiona is a final year MEng Mechanical Engineering student at Sheffield Hallam University. Fiona has a keen interest in all aspects of engineering and as part of her studies completed a year in industry working at Bosch Thermotechnology.

Amardeep Singh - Amardeep is a final year BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering student who has completed a 12 month industrial placement as an Engineer for Jaguar Land Rover. Am is also a SHU Careers Service Student Influencer, member of the 2017/18 and 2019/20 Formula Student Team, Course Rep and freelance Design Engineer for Mutt Motorcycles.
